About RL Advisory

A private space to think clearly.

RL Advisory provides confidential, one-to-one  conversations for people who carry significant responsibility and sometimes need somewhere outside their usual circle to work things through.

The conversations can be about decisions, relationships, work, responsibility or simply something that has been on your mind for some time.

There is no fixed agenda or prescribed outcome. The purpose is straightforward: to give you time, space and an independent perspective.

Why I created RL Advisory

I have experienced the isolation that can come with responsibility.

There are times when you are expected to make decisions, support others and keep going, while having very few places where you can speak openly about what you are carrying yourself.

My professional background has given me a close view of that responsibility.

For more than ten years, I have worked across hospitality and operations, leading teams, managing complex environments and taking responsibility for both people and commercial performance.

My experience has involved working with people carrying significant responsibility, often in environments where discretion, judgement and composure matter.

Throughout my career, I have often been trusted with conversations and situations that required someone to listen carefully, remain impartial and know when something should remain private.

That experience has shaped how I approach people and difficult situations.

It has also made me increasingly aware that those carrying significant responsibility can have surprisingly few places where they can speak openly themselves.

That observation, alongside my professional experience, led me to create RL Advisory.

The perspective I bring

I am not there to tell you what to do.

My role is to listen carefully, ask questions, challenge you when it is useful and offer an independent perspective.

Sometimes that may mean looking at a decision from a different angle.

Sometimes it may mean making sense of something that has been difficult to articulate.

And sometimes the value is simply having the space to say something openly, without having to manage another person's expectations or protect their interests.

I am outside your usual professional and personal circles, with no role in the outcome.

That independence matters.

Why people come to RL Advisory

People come for different reasons.

You may be facing an important decision.

You may be carrying responsibility that is difficult to discuss with the people around you.

Something in a relationship or situation may keep troubling you.

You may feel isolated despite having people around you.

Or you may simply want somewhere to reflect without having to explain yourself or manage someone else's expectations.

You do not need to be in crisis, and you do not need to have a problem to solve.

Sometimes it helps to have somewhere to think.

A different kind of relationship

RL Advisory is not counselling, therapy or life coaching.

There is no diagnosis, treatment or prescribed solution.

The relationship is advisory rather than directive. I will not tell you what you should do or attempt to make decisions on your behalf.

Instead, the conversation is shaped around what matters to you, with the aim of helping you examine it more clearly.

Private and selective

RL Advisory works with a small number of individuals at any one time.

Every conversation is confidential and one-to-one.

There is no requirement to commit to a set number of sessions.

The relationship is straightforward: a confidential conversation with someone outside your usual professional and personal circles.

If you feel this kind of conversation could be useful, you can make a private application.
